Good posture on the other hand refers to “the three natural curves present in the healthy spine.” It can be defined as the position in which someone holds their body while sitting and standing. Poor posture refers to when our spine is positioned in an unnatural position. This often leads to pain in the muscles, joints, and ligaments by putting too much pressure on them. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and lying in such poor forms lead to a build-up in pressure in these tissues as well as extreme pain in the neck and shoulder. To conclude, gaining a bad posture is something that happens over a period of time, especially for those who work from home. Therefore, the most efficient posture is when there is the proper alignment of the spine and placing your ears in with the midline of the body. Bad posture occurs when the spine is unaligned.
