What is Fish Oil?

Fish Oil refers to the oil or fat that is taken out from the tissue of fish. Commonly arising from oily fish such as tuna, sardines, mackerels, anchovies, etc.

  2. Better blood flow – Studies show that these supplements decreases blood vessel blockage to upto 45% when given for 3 weeks. Followed by the angioplasty and continued medication. thereafter. But, when given for 2 weeks or less before angioplasty, it doesn’t seem to have any effect.
  3. Reduced Arrhythmias – It may reduce the abnormal heart rhythms that can be fatal for the patient. 
  4. Triglycerides – It can reduce the blood Triglycerides by about 15-30%. 
  5. Cholesterol levels – Though it does not alter levels of bad LDL in any way, it seems to increase levels of good HDl cholesterol.

The high consistency of Omega-3 makes it act as a great substitute for those who do not prefer seafood. However, the best way to improve health is by consuming whole foods and eating everything in moderation. Eating 2 to 3 portions of seafood a week will provide you with enough fatty acids.
